Well I'll say.   This has been a problem for some time and the company makes no 
offer how to fix;  just a work around.

  Hey Guys,

  I thought I had fixed this little nuisance but I see I have not.    Anyone 
have a suggestion how to fix the "Could not perform this operation because the 
default mail client is not properly installed" error message.   My work around 
is to right click on the button and "copy shortcut" but I do wish to fix.   I 
have my default email program set as Outlook Express in Internet Explorer 6.
