Hi De,

I'm already online, though, through my cable modem. I don't
understand why I'm having a problem? If I make a new connection, won't
that screw things up? I'm not sure what I need to do, under new
connection.

Lisa

You need to go to control panel, internet options and click on the
connections
tab and put the setting right there. You don't want to set it to a dial
up
connection, but want to get it to use your cable network.

This is where the IE settings are. Uncheck any proxy settings and make
sure the
connection is set to your cable connection.

WinXP has a connection wizard, it can walk you through, and connect
you to your cable internet. Not sure where this is at I think it is
found under accessories > internet tools.
