I would like to ask for a few more telescopes this Thursday night at the Black
Mountain Campus of Paradise Valley Community College.
So far we have only Ray, Mark and myself bringing telescopes. We already have
over 20 public rsvp's and Jenny said she will ask all the astronomy
students to attend. It is being advertised as a huge star party with lots of
scopes. I know some of you like to show up without having rsvp'd, but it would
really help if those from PAS planning to attend go ahead and rsvp. Remember it
starts at 7:30 pm so we drive onto the concrete observation deck starting at
6:30 pm.
It won't be freezing like the Jan and Feb star parties but it will be in the
50's temperature wise. Hope to see more of you there to share the night sky
with our visitors.
At the last few star parties, telescope workshops, and meetings the March 23rd
star party has really been talked up. So please bring your scope if you can.
I will do a final weather analysis Thursday morning and if we have to call it
off we will send out an email to everyone at PAS before 12 noon. So far the
Thursday weather is unsettled but it looks like it will be fine to do the star
party after 7 pm.
See you Thursday night. Sam Insana President of PAS
