Wed night, Feb 22nd, Moon Valley H.S. is having their STEAM night (the A is for
Arts). Mike, Don and Sam will be there.
So far 6 weather forecasts show 10% to 50% cloud cover, 4 to 10 mph winds, and
0 to 4% chance of rain. I will update
this with Don and Mike Wed morning.
Thursday night, Feb 23rd, PVCC Black Mountain Campus will have our PAS star
party from 7 to 9:45 pm. Please arrive at 6 pm
to drive your vehicle onto the observation deck, set up , and then drive off
and park.
So far we have 8 PAS members with telescopes, Mike with his meteorites, and
Paul Facuna to help guide our vehicles on and off
the observation deck. So far the 6 weather forecasts call for 10% cloud cover,
6 to 12 mph winds, and 0% rain.
I will update the weather on Wed morning to the whole club since so many PAS
members are attending.
Friday night we have a school (Alta E. Butler) star party in Phoenix with Pete,
Kevin, Mike and Suzanne. Kevin is RSVP and he will
contact the PAS members attending about the weather and all the details as to
when to arrive, where to park, solar viewing,final weather, etc...
Kevin will also be in touch with the school contact person. So far the 6
weather forecasts show about 30% cloud cover, 4 to 9 mph winds
and 0% rain.
The last event is Friday night at a private star party in Carefree. Don and Sam
are handling that. So far the 6 weather forecasts show
25% clouds, 6 mph winds and 0% rain. I will update this with Don later this
week.
