[pasmembers] Fw: Telescope Image from MicroObservatory.

Re: RGB Telescope Images from MicroObservatory.here is what I got from the
Harvard microobservatory, showing images taken at 2218, 2305, 0009, 0110 and
0208 UT (equivalent to 3:18, 4:05, 5:09, 6:10 and 7:08 pm MST). the "more
images" link at the end includes pictures taken every minute from 0131 to 0223
UT (6:31 to 7:23 MST); the last few pictures show the Sun setting behind the
mountains, up till the last moment that Venus is still visible. pictures were
taken from Arizona.

at the bottom of the message are instructions for making your own animation
from the pics. (please share with us if you do! :)

and Tim, thanks for the NASA link - it is tremendous!

To create an animation of the 2012 Venus Transit:

1.. Download MicroObservatory Image, our free, easy-to-use image processing
software for Mac or PC. (Works best with "FITS" format images, and also with
GIF)
2.. Go to our Tools & Training web page and and watch the tutorial "How to
make an animation of Jupiter's Moons" for step-by-step instructions on how to
create an animation from multiple MicroObservatory images. You can use the same
technique with your images of the 2012 Venus Transit.
