[pack163-leaders] Flyers for leaders and minutes of 10/16th meeting

Rob handed out the National Den award information and Den leader awards 
information
 
October Pack Meeting/Bonfire Recap – Great event – loved the bobcat ceremony
 
October Round Table Recap – Wolves – Re-charter is due January 4th.  New this 
year - Leaders will not be re-chartered if you are not trained.  Talked about 
the doing an Order of the Arrow food drive this year.  Friends of scouting by 
March 12th Blue and Gold and Pine Wood Derby are not good times to do Friends 
of Scouting. August 8th will be Webelos resident camp.  New program Journey to 
Excellence starting (replacing the Quality Unit) 3 different levels
 
Rob talked about roundtable update info:
Talked about the Cub-O-Ree and passed around the info sheet. 
 Invite a friend to be a Cub Scout the patch the kids can get if they bring a 
friend.  
Nov 12th Cub Scout event at the Waukesha County Museum
Aug 18th Trailblazer Adventure Day
Cub Scout Carnival Oct 20th at WCTC
 
November Pack Meeting Planning –
Setup and Greeting – Webelos I
Resourceful Gathering – Tigers
Opening and Closing – Bears
Skit or Song – Wolves
Game – Webelos II
Cleanup – Wolves                    Make sure that the kids get the bobcat done 
by the November meeting
 
Holiday Parade Planning- November 20th – Meet at 1:30 to decorate float, parade 
starts at 4:00 Candy Cane on Main is the theme.  
December Pack Activity Planning – Christmas Caroling.  Have copies made of the 
songs to be handed out at the pack meeting prior to the event so they can 
practice. Jingle bells, Silent Night, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph.  The event 
is on Dec 17th
River Rats Signup – November 8th   Rob will be going 
Winter Cabin Campout Planning – Fred got the date of 2/10-2/12 Harnisfeger 
building. 
Ice Fishing and 2 other outdoor activities run by Troop 4
We will do 2 indoor activities
Conflicts with the Feb pack meeting. Have that on Saturday at the camp with the 
Arrow of Light.
 
Popcorn/Wreath Update – Misty not in attendance – not much of an update. No 
prizes for the wreaths Misty would like to do something for the kids???  
Feedback – to expensive for popcorn this year and not much choice.  People are 
missing the tins
 
Blue and Gold dinner – the McBride’s are going heading up the committee – yea 
yea!!
 
10/27 Webelos day with Troop 4 per Fred.  Rob will attend as Webelos Leader
Troop 4 Has one den chief available – Tigers will use him. 
Action items:
Rob will make copies of all the info sheets that he passed around from the 
roundtables
Rob will send out list of leader info Janet – will order the pine wood derby 
cars
Jenny – call Marlene for the Blue and Gold to see if she can come for the day – 
we need a staff member
Jenny – find a treasurer
Rob – let Janet know by November award due date the number of cars that are 
needed
