Today, I meandered through a series of web sites that just fit way too
well.

I started with an article about a failed Taurus rocket launch:

That was Sept. 21, 2001.  Then I wondered if because of the probe on top,
if it could have come down and hit someone.

I found that the captain of a boat in the Mini TransAt race turned up
missing:

The race began on Sept. 22.  More than enough time for a probe to gain low
earth orbit and then come crashing back down.  But, his boat still arrived.
So maybe the bits knocked him off his boat?

But then I noticed that Hurrican Humberto struck on the 21st in the
atlantic:

Which is probably how the good captain got washed overboard.  He could have
encountered rough waters as a result of the hurricane.

*shrug*  This is how a conspiracy theorists get there start, isn't it?
