If you haven't heard about this one, it's Marvel's new
take on the origin of Capt America. Wherein, we learn
that development of the substance responsible for
Cap's powers was done on blacks in the military. 

When Marvel published the 9/11 tribute, I fished
around for opinions on this list and got some
interesting feedback. So, what's the list's take on
this one?

I learned about this on NPR, where an interviewer
asked if it was right to echo a cruel piece of actual
history, refering to the Tuskeegee experiments. The
Tuskeegee experiments used black men to test the
effects of Syphillis without their knowlege. These
experiments fostered a deep mistrust of doctors among
the black community and the interviewer was
questioning if this book might serve to reinforce
this.

And, of course, there was the gambit of reactions from
comic fans. Some were lamenting that this was somehow
tampering with Cap's sanctity and others found it a
refreshing take.

So, what say you?
