I learned of a woman who sent a check (I think the
amount was $250) to an address in Isreal on the
assumption that she would get a $5000 dollar check in
return.
How did I learn about this?
She called the number in the ad to complain.
What was that number?
The call-in for the Howard Stern show. Howard tried
valiantly to convince her that she had been ripped
off, but she kept insisting that by calling this
number she could talk to someone and get her money.
Sheesh... I'm in the wrong business.
