I will add this observation, I think industrial hemp
has an uphill battle precisely because of its core
group of supporters. It is simply too mingled with the
'legalize pot' platform. Moreover, most political
activists I have seen campaigning for legalized hemp
production are barely veiling their advocacy of
legalizing pot (easier to spell than
marijuhattillathehunna).

The legalized pot issue is seperate, and may or may
not have merit. But I think industrial hemp is
unfortunately sharing political bandwidth with its
crazy cousin recreational pot.
