Here is a link that briefly describes how paper is made from wood:
http://www.tappi.org/paperu/all_about_paper/paperMade.htm
Here is a link that hails the benefits of using industrial hemp:
http://shirtmagic.com/whyhemp.html
I have read about the the uses of hemp before, so the second link didn't
really provide that much new information for me, but it can be concluded
that hemp is cheaper and safer to grow, harvest and regrow. Big Business
is about spending less so they can make more profit. So, why aren't we
seeing farmers who are currently being paid not to grow anything running an
industrial hemp farm?
Aside from the data mentioned in the second link, fact or conspiratorial,
it seems that more environmentalism is winning these days than big
business. So why not legalize industrial hemp production in the USA?
