I have never read a Star Trek novel.
I have never read a Star Wars novel.
I have never read a Tolkien novel of any sort, either.
I never got into fiction stuff as a kid and I didn't have access to a comic
book store. I was the geek who read science books and technical manuals
for fun. Now, I have read the first three Vampire Chronicles and read many
different Sherlock Holmes stories. I am currently working on reading the
Iluminatus Trilogy, but in general I don't read a lot of fiction outside of
gaming books.
My current research project is early judeo-christian documents. I got hold
of a CD that has the complete works of Josephus, as well as many of the
"lost" or "forgotten" books of the Bible, as they entitled. There is loads
of other stuff on there as well. Like the Book of Enoch where he writes
about the Earth being round.
Gaming is my foray into fiction, but my normal reading is still usual
technical books, archery books or historical documents.
