Hi ,Bill
Thanks for your warm help. I am considering to trace somp point of a
moving cylinderical particle in Poiseuille flow. It bothers me that how to
specify the point and output the point's position information with time. What's
more , I also want to redirct the ins.move to a file named by myself. Any
suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Su

You should be able restart a moving grid computation in a straight-forward
way.
There are numerous examples of restarting in the .cmd files -- grep for
"restart"

Hi
I am simulating the motion of a cylinderical particle in Poiseuille
flow. The cylinder particle is restrainted to move along a line and can rotate
freely. Because of time limits of supercomputers , I am forced to stop the
calculation before finished. Therefore I need to restart the calculation and
read the grids and initial condition of last calculation .The point here is
that the position and angle of cylinderical particle has changed.Maybe I can
read initial condition from show file of last calculation. I am considering how
to read the grids and specify the position and angle,or can I read the grids
from show file and specify the gridName as show file....
