Hi Daniel, Did you compile overture using a case sensitive filesystem??? I trying to compile A++ but Im getting this error, I wonder if somebody can give me a clue. Im just copying the last four lines. checking C compiler... gcc-4 -I/usr/include/malloc -mlongcall checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables configure: error: /bin/sh './configure' failed for A++ sed: confdefs.h: No such file or directory Cheers, jeol ----- Original Message ---- From: Daniel Appelo <appelo@xxxxxxx> To: overture@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, January 22, 2008 5:30:12 PM Subject: [overture] Re: Fwd: Building Overture and cg on Mac OS X 10.4 Joel, I have installed overture and cg (except cgmp) on an iMac with 10.5 and on a MacBook and a MacBookPro with 10.4. I used the minimal number of third party libraries (i.e. HDF5, openmotif and gcc 4.1) using fink I have not tried to install petc e.g. With 10.5 you have to fix a bug with the linking to OpenGL, otherwise you will get an error message: ld: cycle in dylib re-exports with /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.dylib The fix is to add some form of "-Wl,-dylib_file,/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib:/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib" to LDFLAGS or equivalent.
