I do not fully understand the commentary about Microsoft.=20
The goal here is to have an access solution for a operating system that =
will
not force the user to spend lots of money on something that they have to
have.
Instead the goal is to provide the same functionality they will need =
(ala
the tools ot use the OS) that a normal person will have by spending the =
same
amount of money.

The idea is low cost, but not necessarily free.
Linux and other operating systems are great and have their place. And =
they
have projects for them as well. But access is stil needed by many for =
the
commercial operating system.

I agree the Longhorn screen reader is a pretty good idea but what would=20

It's Microsoft that has boxed us into this situation (them and the=20
reader software people) why should we continue to pander to them?

Installing a new OS and new application software is not that hard these=20
days. Linux, Mac OS X tiger, etc...
There's Mozilla's browser and e-mail and calendar functionality and even =

OpenOffice.

Basically, I'm just confused between the use of "open source" and "build =

it for Longhorn" in this project description.
- would somebody (will?) care to explain that one, please?
