Can't we just gather all ideas first and then appoint sub group leaders?
We are global after all not just a UK or US group.

I agree the Longhorn screen reader is a pretty good idea but what would 
be wrong
with a little bit of initial "blue-sky-ing" here and looking at what we 
want...what we really, really want?

It's Microsoft that has boxed us into this situation (them and the 
reader software people) why should we continue to pander to them?

Installing a new OS and new application software is not that hard these 
days. Linux, Mac OS X tiger, etc...
There's Mozilla's browser and e-mail and calendar functionality and even 
OpenOffice.

Basically, I'm just confused between the use of "open source" and "build 
it for Longhorn" in this project description.
- would somebody (will?) care to explain that one, please?
