[OGD] Re: Moss

Live moss is great for showing if you are watering some mounted plants  
enough. If you have a little moss growing on the mount the plant is  
getting enough water, if it there is no moss you may want to start  
watering or misting the mounted plants more frequently. If you look at  
mounted plants that are growing and flowering well, you will typically  
see some moss growing on the mount. This is not an absolute  
requirement, just a general observation I have made over the years. I  
find that my mounted plants did much better after I increased watering  
and misting to a point where, I can maintain or start moss growing on  
the mount.
