G'day,

I could not get any photos to attach to the last posting. Perhaps this =
will solve the problem. Since this orchid has been thought to be extinct =
it is great news to find 2 plants in full flower. These appear on our =
website www.banjorah.com in orchid list 4 if anyone is interested. Ron

Dwarf Spider Orchid (Arachnorchis pumila - formerly Caladenia =
pumila)

Flowers in Spring (Sept - Oct) - favours grassy woodland and is =
endemic to Victoria.

Small spider orchid with single white flower. Last reliable =
record was in 1926. Considered extinct but recently re-discovered. The =
photo ruler indicates the height of this particular plant - a total of 4 =
inches (10cm).

Pollination of the Arachnorchis species has been studied very =
little but it is thought that spider orchids are generally pollinated by =
pseudocopulation (male thynnid wasp).
