[OGD] Dimorphorchis mystery solved?

At an orchid society meeting last night, during a presentation, the speaker stated that the the upper and lower flowers on Dimorphorchis lowii are male/female (I don't recall which was which on his photo caption, sorry). This was a surprise to me, as I had thought that the reason for the dimorphic flowers was unknown, or at least not particularly well understood -- I should think that a male/female dichotomy would be pretty obvious, and well documented. Has there been some new research about this? Did we miss something? Thanks! Julie
