workflow on ssl on imap and smtp

It seems as through workflow cannot handle SSL for
email servers.  This is a known feature in workflow
and there will be some day a patch for it.  Does
anyone have a work around for this?

Hard to believe this is an issue .. I thought Oracle
was suppose to be bulletproof and this would have been
built in... silly me...
