We use VMWare extensively for development of our database automation
software - its great for windows and Linux. We are currently piloting
moving whole swaths of our infrastructure over to VMWare Server, and we
expect we'll be able to run approximately 8x the number of virtual
machines as physical. It works quite well with RAC, though I would
recommend using iscsi or a certified NAS platform, rather than trying to
share a disk file or something like that.

Thanks,
Matt
