Re: version including the PSU patch level

that is true, but if you follow the install instructions, it tells you to run
the script that creates that table if you just installed all the software, then
upgraded... after you upgraded.

in other words, install 11.1.0.7.5 in a new home, upgrade from 9i to new 11g,
then run that script. you'll have the table then and you'll be able to find
out the full version without opatch.

dba_registry_history only works if you actually upgrade the database using the
patch, not if the patch is already installed when you move to the new Oracle
Home.

For instance, my 11.1.0.7.5 Oracle Home shows 11.1.0.7.0 after upgrading from
9.2.0.6.

Subject: version including the PSU patch level

Does anyone know how to determine the patch level of a database including

the PSU level. v$version shows 10.2.0.4.0 but I know we applied the PSU

10.2.0.4.4....

(I would rather not run opatch lsinventory and then look up the patch

number)

Thanks,

Tom
