Hi All,
On solaris when I have to remove the home, it is recommeneded to
uninstall the software using OUI and remove the home (rm -rf *)
what exactly teh uninstall will do ?
(why it wont remove all the files from home)
Oracle installer puts things all over the system: /usr/local/bin,
/etc/oratab, /etc/Orainst.loc and some other things.
The best thing to do is to log in as root and do the following: rm -rf
/home /usr /var /opt /etc /bin /sbin /lib
That will uninstall oracle and anything else you might have on the system.
