standby redo logs in 9.2.0.5.




Gents,

I am littled confused with stadnby redo logs requirements in the physical
standby database. In oracle documentation, minimum requirement  to have one
more standby redo log than the primary one, but, in metalink note :
219344.1, its says that at least you need to have same redo logs as on the
primary. Therefore, I am very much confused about two different statements.
My scinarios is that I have 10 redo logs on my primary and my magloxfile
set 20. If I follow the oracle documentation requirement, I need to have 11
standby redo logs which is not possible as my logfile size is 20. I am
thinking of droping 1 or 2 redo logs at primary and have one more redo of
the standby than primary.

Please help me in this regards.
