Thanky thanky.  I'll investigate this.

And one more (maybe) observation:

We keep individual datafiles to 32000M.  So might we conclude that rman
cannot split a backup of a datafile into more than one saveset?  Hence,
maxsetsize must be at least as big as your biggest data file?
