If you perform instance recovery (ie Crash Recovery) on the cloned database
(because you have the controlfiles and online redo logs -- not my
caveat that the controlfiles
and online redo logs must be from the same snapshot as the datafiles,
in my earlier email
titled "Re: NetApp flier - based snapshots and db backups -- CAVEATS"
and are able to open it without having to do a RESETLOGS, there are
ways to apply "future" Archivelogs to it.

no, it will look like you powered off the system by physically
pulling the electrical cord. It is restartable, but you can't use it
on some other system and apply logs to roll it forward.

It would be like a shutdown abort copy right ?
i.e when started oracle would do a crash recovery since the snapshot
includes online logs.
