The COBOL legacy market has been hot for quite some time. Like I say, you can get "Josh" with his ball-cap-backward onsite oozing miles of Java code with 1 day notice in the Bay Area for 1/2 the cost of a plummer or COBOL expert. The plummer and COBOL expert don't show up very quickly. ________________________________ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mercadante, Thomas F (LABOR) Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 11:00 AM To: mark.powell@xxxxxxx; oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: pl/sql to be desupported in favour of java? Can't kill it. Contractors locally were being hired for $100/hr to support old Cobol legacy systems as people retire. It's the new hot market.
