In your case, I jumped all over the parsing and latching issues (actually, I
jumped on the parsing issue; I only guessed the latching issue) because it's
a subject I'm interested in. But prioritizing what you tune first based on
what you're interested in, or what you guess the problem probably is,
...that's no way to do it. You don't need to guess, because you can *know*.
If you base your diagnosis on AWR/Statspack, then there's still an element
of guessing involved. ...As I think you'll understand if you read the
example I provided.
