Yes. Not every tool that supports ODBC supports ADO and .NOT. Microsoft backed 
away from ODBC  when they saw that it's being ported to Unix and that it is
being used by everybody. Obfuscation of APIs would certainly be an unknown
event in the case of Microsoft, wouldn't it?
