I think that is a very courageous decision.
It's been three years since I have seen Websphere in production, and I must
have been to 20+ different sites in that time! I don't know anyone using
OAS with PeopleSoft (though I am sure there are a few out there). Why do
you want to use OAS? Unless you are very familar and comfortable with it?
I would suggest that you run with the herd and stay with BEA.
(and forgive me for being flippant - but BEA will probably end up being
bought by Oracle some time next year anyway)
regards

It has been a couple of years (circa version 9.0.4) that I used OAS on AIX,
but I recall that AIX had a LOT of platform-specific bugs for OAS.
Beware--look for the ML notes on OAS patchsets and latest updates to find
most of them. I'd prefer to run OAS on windows before I'd run it on AIX
personally (many of you have the same negative feelings about windows I'm
sure, so that's saying a lot).
Like I said, it's been a while, though, and I doubt things could have gotten
worse (only one way to go when you're at the bottom). I don't have any
specific PS or recent experience on AIX to share, though.
Good luck!
Dan

Hi List members,
We are planning to install peoplesoft FM version 9 on AIX. Instead of
using weblogic BEA, we are planning to install oracle application server
to replace weblogic. I am wondering does anyone have oracle application
server experience to share?
Thanks,
Joan
