My Sincere Thanks to one and all for helping me out to upgrade from 9ir2 to
10gr1. Initially I had problems on host2 (10gr1) with the 9i database files.
There was no drop_segments column in sys.mon_mods$ in my 9ir2(9.2.0.4).
Because of this smon printed out errors and normal/immediate shutdown of
database was not possible. I had to do an OS level shutdown. Hence I had to
upgrade to 9.2.0.8. After the upgrade, I tried to use dbca for 9i to 10gr1
upgrade which still gave me the internal oracle error. I switched to manual
upgrade and completed it successfully. Thanks once again.
