RE: interesting wait event

A quick Google search yielded nothing, and a quick MetaLink search
yielded this (all too brief) description:

"This event is related to dynamic remastering which I would not use
until 10.2
So if you are have performance problems because of DRM you should
disable the same using
_gc_affinity_time=0"

Note that the reference to 10.2, above, is because the original poster
who asked about the event reported running 10.1.

I suppose it makes a certain amount of sense that a wait on a dynamic
remastering event would occur when adding a datafile?
I guess I'd try not adding datafiles during heavy loads....beyond that,
if the event is really a problem, you probably ought to open an SR and
get more info. I wouldn't recommend setting an undocumented parameter,
particularly now that dynamic remastering is *presumably* ok in 10.2....

'gcs drm freeze in enter server mode'

Anyone have any indepth info on this event? It was captured in the wild
during heavy load, a datafile was being added near that time. DB version
10.2 RAC on Solaris, raw datafiles.
