iAS server sizing

Hi all,
One of my customers is upgrading/converting his Forms application to 9iAS.
They wonder how many servers they need. Of course they don't want to buy
too much licenses. I'm not toomuch aware about iAS issues, can anyone help?

Here are some figures from their current application:

- 4 Client machines (HP 9000/800 series, 2CPU's each, HPUX 11.00)
- Total number of users appr. 1200 distributed about all 4 servers.
- Concurrent users: appr. 450 between 9AM and 4PM, spiking above 500 every
now and the

- JSPS-jobs per day > 6000, properly distributed about all machines.
    divided in
       - 90% < 1 mi
       - 6% > 5 min, especiallyafter 6PM, some heavy batches
      - 10% after 6PM

- Total number of database connections appr.70.000 per day.

This hardware is OK for the current application. Does oneneed more
resources for 9iAS. Is there a rule of thumb when moving from Forms 6 to 9iAS?

Thanks for your help (I'll reply after July 26, some holiday starting now)
