I don't understand the harsh reaction to the suggestion of Dell 2950s - we run 
them for a few of our environments here and they exceed our needs in those 
cases.  Like Krishna said, it all depends on your specific needs - why buy a 
$50k server and 12 Oracle processor licenses if you only need a $10k server and 
4 Oracle licenses?
