Oracle Data Pump in 10g allows you to do this . . . =20
I have done some thing similar using old school Oracle Copy=20
(http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a90842/apb
.htm#634246 ) there are restrictions and watch out for RI and
constraints.

We are testing it out now to ReOrg an old 8i database.

Guys,

I am upgrading an 8.0.6 database to 9i with an export/import. It is a
=3D
24x7 high input system. I remember coming across a method a long long =
=3D
time ago that allowed you to export through a pipe directly to another =
=3D
box as being fast as heck. Was I dreaming this?

Thanks,
Paula
