Brian,

You just don't need it. It was always a goofy param. If your database
was in archivelog mode, then you *wanted* this to be true. And if your
database was *not* in archivelog mode, then this param was worthless!

Subject: depreciated init parameters

So we converted a 9i db to 10g and got log)archive_start=true as a
depreciated parameter. Do I just not need it or is there a replacement
parm?

ciao,

Brian
