We are setting up a new linux box for Oracle, the following message
appears when trying to create the dba group:
[root]# groupadd -g 300 dba
groupadd: group dba exists
I've seen this before, but have no idea how this group was created.
Typically I create dba with an id of 500, but this default group is usually
some other ID IIRC.
To answer some likely questions:
* no, oracle has never been installed on this box
* dba does not appear in /etc/group
This is RH Linux EL4, kernel 2.6.9
Thanks,
