In any Data Guard configuration can a physical standby be "maintained" in a
state where it would be more current than the latest archived redo logfile?
Can a physical standby instance reflect transactions WITHOUT doing a redo
logfile switch?
I am willing to RTFM if anyone can point me at any URLs or Metalink notes
which contain answers to my questions.
