IIRC, Oracle Consulting has a "service" that does a dump of data files and laboriously reconstitutes a database .... I also remember that the service was horribly expensive.

We have a database that we may need this type of tool for. Can anyone offer any information on this? And, yes the database was backed up nightly, but the tapes were not rotated and checked.
