There is one terrific J2EE book that voices concerns about Entity Beans and says to use database features. I have not finished it yet, but from what I have read its outstanding. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0764543857/qid=1112729342/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/104-9252735-7815156?v=glance&s=books From what I have been told most J2EE developers don't even know that a JSP gets translated into a java servlet and then compiled by the web/app server. They don't have a clue what really goes on and its their discipline. -------------- Original message -------------- > > Ryan, > > In general, most of the java programmers I've talked to about this are > totally > clueless as to concept. > The commit/rollback full transaction concept just isn't in their mindset. > There are, of course, some very talented exceptions to that. :) > > Your concerns are the same ones I have. > > > -- > http://www.freelists.org/webpage/oracle-l -- http://www.freelists.org/webpage/oracle-l
