Hi,
In case of table change alter table like add a column : for a table in adv
replication : a quiesce of replication is needed and then a generate support.
Now, in case of alter table like increase a field length : is it necessary to
quiesce and the generate support after alter table? I think or varchar2
increase of field length it is not necessary and it can be done on the fly like
it can be done for a table not in replication. The data seems to flow with the
new field length. Now, is there any catch or is it safe to do or any condition
for this like limited to data type. Does anyone have experience doing this.
Thanks
