Well, the "hack files" part is already taken care of. Just install on Gentoo Linux -- no icky gcc/glibc hacking necessary! It's a dream! I've installed 9.2.0.4 (via 9.2.0.1 and .4 mini-pack) at home and here at work *without so much as a hiccup*. Flawless. As far as the users and kernel parms, I wouldn't trust any automated script to do that for me anyway. :) Rich Rich Jesse System/Database Administrator rich.jesse@xxxxxxxxxxxx Quad/Tech International, Sussex, WI USA -----Original Message----- From: Pete Finnigan [mailto:oracle_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2004 7:33 AM To: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Will 10g install on any Linux???
