Lou, library cache latch is caused by solar flares which, in turn, cause
significant magnetic activity. The best thing to

do is to backup your database to tape and put somewhere warm, to protect it
from magnetic activity by the sun. Vicinity

of a heater or a radiator will do just fine,

Subject: Which caused the "library cache" latch?

Hi all:

The following is the change of v$latch in five seconds, I am not sure which
will cause the library cache latch? And the spin_gets of
cache_buffers_chains is always 0, so does it meas that cache buffers chains
latch wait will not consume much cpu?

Can we have a talk about this?
