My recollection from my eval of their product several years ago was that the
overhead cost of full db encryption was on the order of 10%. It might be
appropriate if looking for a cross-db-platform solution; otherwise, I'd look
more to a storage-based (array-level) or implementation-specific (advanced
security option, for example) solution.
