As many others pointed out, it's not possible.

If you take a moment to think about why, it's because tables, views, and 
private synonyms are all in the same namespace.

So, if you have a table BLAH, you cannot have a view or private synonym 'BLAH' 
in the same schema.

Forget about harming an application, I don't believe *Oracle* will
allow a view and table of the same name.

Try it.  Create a dummy table and then a dummy view of the same name.
