With the difference that you'll have hard time getting your data back when ASM
instance doesn't start up anymore and especially if the blocks describing ASM
allocation unit locations and semantics get corrupted. Not that it has happened
to me on real systems, but still I usually recommend to keep online redologs
outside ASM on raw devices if the client definitely wants to use ASM.
