I assume you mean about NULL values and three-valued logic?
my favorite book is still "Relational Batabase Writings, 1989 - 1991"
by C.J. Date and Hugh Darwen, ISBN 0-201-54303-6.
check out chapters 13, 17, 18, and 21.

Then there is the famous "Database Systems" (8th edition) by Chris Date,
but it is a rather thick book with only one chapter about missing
information.

hope this helps,
Lex.

Lex,

Do you have any papers on the web or in books in English? I went to your
website and did a google search. I couldn't find any?
