Hello All,

Good Morning!

Hope every one is doing well!!

I have a question/problem while configuring the RAC 10g on windows 2003
servers using VMware.
I have installed vmware on windowsxp and then I installed windows2003
servers with two nodes in vmware. I can ping RAC1 from RAC2 and vice-versa.
while installing the crs I entered the node information according to the
host file. But I am gettitng the error message that cannot reach RAC1 or it
is unavailable.

The host file on both the nodes are as below..

RAC1:
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
#Public
192.168.2.101 rac1.localdomain rac1
192.168.2.102 rac2.localdomain rac2
#Private
192.168.0.101 rac1-priv.localdomain rac1-priv
192.168.0.102 rac2-priv.localdomain rac2-priv
#Virtual
192.168.2.111 rac1-vip.localdomain rac1-vip
192.168.2.112 rac2-vip.localdomain rac2-vip

RAC2:

# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
#Public
192.168.2.101 rac1.localdomain rac1
192.168.2.102 rac2.localdomain rac2
#Private
192.168.0.101 rac1-priv.localdomain rac1-priv
192.168.0.102 rac2-priv.localdomain rac2-priv
#Virtual
192.168.2.111 rac1-vip.localdomain rac1-vip
192.168.2.112 rac2-vip.localdomain rac2-vip

Please advice how may I proceed. I am doing this configuration for the first
time.

Thanks
Nilesh
