Hi,
With the dbms_monitor package, tracing can be enabled for:
client identifier, service name/module/action name and session.
In such case, the trace information can be written in more than one trace
file and the best will be to use trcsess utility to collect trace
information from different files in one output file. As the trace file input
for trcsess utl. you can use wild card to specify all trace files in the
working dir. (if not possible to find out trace files of interest).
Check the Performance and Tuning Guide, this stuff is quite good explained.

HTH,
Goran

Hi all

how do you get the file name of the trace file being produced when you
enabled tracing via dbms_monitor.

don't see a function in dbms_monitor.
