Quest has boot Tora to kill off competition to Toad. That way, they can keep the prices high and they don't have to improve the product very much. There are other, fairly good alternatives: 1) Oracletool (http://www.oracletool.com) 2) Sean Hull's Karma (http://www.iheavy.com/karma/help/readme.html) 3) DBA Companion (http://homepage.internet.lu/dbacomp/) 4) Xenon (http://www.xenonsoft.demon.co.uk/products/xenonsql/index.html) 5) SQL*Plus (http://technet.oracle.com) -- Mladen Gogala Oracle DBA email:mladeng@xxxxxxxxx Ext: 9787 > -----Original Message----- > From: Janine Sisk [mailto:janine@xxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Monday, August 16, 2004 11:02 AM > To: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: Toad vs TOra vs ? > > > On Aug 16, 2004, at 10:47 AM, Jared Still wrote: > > > While it is nice to have a TOAD-like tool (TOra) on linux, it cannot > > (yet?) be favorably compared to TOAD.
